Biography:

Vanessa Marano was born on October 31, 1992 in Los Angeles, California. She started acting professionally at the age of seven. She has worked for productions at the Stage Door Theatre since then.

She had her first major role in 2002, when she played Hannah Malone in the series Without a Trace. She also starred as Franchesca in The Comeback, and as April Nardini in Gilmore Girls.

She has appeared in such films as The Clique and Dear Lemon Lima. As of 2011, she plays the lead role of Bay Kennish in the ABC Family series Switched at Birth.
