Biography:

Ty Burrell was born on August 22, 1967 in Grants Pass, Oregon, USA. He attended the Southern Oregon University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts.

He made his film debut in 2001 with the movie Evolution. He followed it with supporting roles in Black Hawk Down, Dawn of the Dead, The Darwin Awards, Fur, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and The Incredible Hulk.

In 2009, he made his breakthrough for his portrayal of Phil Dunphy in the television series Modern Family. For his role, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2011.
