Taron Egerton

Taron Egerton was born on 10 November 1989 in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England. He studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he finished his studies in Acting. In 2011, he made his screen debut in a short film. His first TV appearance was on the British series Lewis where he appeared in 2 episodes. He next starred on the British drama The Smoke, but it was cancelled after only one season/series.

His break came in 2015 as Gary “Eggsy” Unwin in the Hollywood film Kingsman: The Secret Service. He won the Empire Award for Best Male Newcomer for his role and got many other nominations. That same year, he starred in the films Testament of Youth and Legend. He recently played the lead role in the film Eddie the Eagle. He will reprise his role in the Kingsman sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle. He will also portray Robin Hood in the upcoming film Robin Hood: Origins.
