Sia is an Australian singer and songwriter. She started singing professionally in the mid-90s, first as a member of the acid jazz band Crisp based in Adelaide. In 1997, she released her debut album OnlySee in Australia. After this, she relocated to England where she became backing vocals for the British duo Zero 7. In 2001, she released her second album Healing Is Difficult. The rest of the 2000s saw her release her subsequent albums Colour the Small One (2004) and Some People Have Real Problems (2008). She took a hiatus from singing and penned songs for other artists. In 2014, she finally got her break with the release of her sixth album 1000 Forms of Fear. It spawned the hit single “Chandelier”. Her seventh album This Is Acting was released in 2017 with the No. 1 single “Cheap Thrills”.
