Glynis Barber is a South African actress. She had her career beginnings in the 1970s, first debuting in the British film Terror. She next acted in the drama film Yesterday’s Hero. In the ’80s, she had roles in the movies Tangiers, The Wicked Lady, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and Edge of Sanity. Other film roles include Déjà Vu, On the Nose, and Hammer of the Gods. On TV, Barber gained recognition for playing Harriet Makepeace in Dempsey and Makepeace, Glenda Mitchell in EastEnders, and Grace Barraclough in Emmerdale.
