Sarah McLachlan is a Canadian singer and songwriter. In 1988, she released her debut studio album, Touch. She became a more prolific recording actress in the 1990s with several album releases. In 1991, she released Solace, followed by Fumbling Towards Ecstasy in 1993, and Surfacing in 1997. For Surfacing, McLachlan won two Grammy Awards. It also spawned the hit songs “Adia” and “Angel”. The single “Building a Mystery” from the same album also won the Grammys for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. In the 2000s, she released two studio albums: Afterglow and Wintersong. Meanwhile, in the 2010s, she had the albums Laws of Illusion in 2010, Shine On in 2014, and Wonderland in 2016.
