Biography:

Rakul Preet Singh was born on October 10, 1990 in Delhi, India. She attended Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi where she studied Mathematics. She worked as a model for two years before competing in the Miss India pageant.

In 2009, she made her film debut playing the role of Anitha in the movie Gilli. She won acclaim for her performance in the film and went on to return to her studies and compete in the Miss India pageant.

She then returned to films in 2011 where she starred as Sangeetha in Keratam. She has since appeared in other movies including Thadaiyara Thaakka, Puthagam, Venkatadri Express, and Yaariyaan.
