Sara Ramirez

Celebrity Sara Ramirez first played Rose in the 1998 romantic drama film You’ve Got Mail. She next played Lammy in the video game UmJammer Lammy, after which she starred in the TV movie Star Patrol. Her acting career in the 2000s became more active, guest-starring on some television shows, including Spin City, Third Watch, Welcome to New York, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Later, she had roles in the films Spider-Man, Washington Heights, and Chicago.

She also starred in the TV movies Baseball Wives and Naked Hotel. After this, she had a one-time role in the soap opera As the World Turns and played a voice role in the film When Ocean Meets Sky. She next guest-starred in NYPD Blue. Ramirez had her major breakthrough role after getting the part of Calliope Torres in the ABC series Grey’s Anatomy, a role she played from 2006 to 2016.

For her work here, she also got various nominations, such as the People Choice Awards for Favorite Dramatic TV Actress. She went on to have voice roles in the animated programs Elena and the Secret of Avalor and Sofia the First. Ramirez returned to primetime as Kat Sandoval in the CBS series Madam Secretary, which she played from 2017 to 2019. Apart from her screen career, the actress has also performed on some stage productions.

The actress knows how to take care of herself without deprivation. She’s since learned to love her body. She’s also lost weight since starting out in the show business. When it comes to weight loss, it doesn’t have to be complex. “If you want to see results, there is a very simple formula. You must burn more calories than you consume,” said Sara Ramirez.

Her advice on dieting is also very simple. “If you want pizza, have it. [But] if you have too much or feel crappy afterward, own that choice. And if you don’t want to feel that way again, you know what to do.” (That would be not eat pizza.) It’s all about a balance, so if you can eat things you love in moderation, there’s no reason you can’t sneak in a slice here and there.”
