Bollywood actor Saqib Saleem had his career beginnings when he starred in the 2011 Hindi film Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge. For his performance, he was nominated for Best Male Debut at the Filmfare Awards. After this, he had roles in the films Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Bombay Talkies, and Hawaa Hawaai.

He later gained wider recognition for starring in the movies Dishoom and Dobaara: See Your Evil. The actor was then cast for roles in the romantic comedy film Dil Juunglee and the action thriller movie Race 3. He also ventured a career on the small screen, starring in the web series Rangbaaz and Pyaar Actually – Real is Rare. He recently portrayed the role of Mohinder Amarnath in the sports drama film 83. Also, he starred in the Voot series Crackdown.

For Saqib Saleem, getting fit is not only for actors. “I think it is important for everybody to stay fit. And when I say ‘fit’, I don’t mean that everybody needs to have a six pack, but maybe they can run 3-5 kilometers a day,” said the actor. His workout routine hasn’t been the same. While he has been working out for over a decade, he switches and mixes things up, depending on what he needs. He used to do a lot of weights but he has since discovered that kickboxing is good for him.

“I’m what 31 years old, so I’ve been working out for the last 16 years. So, last year I decided to stop lifting weights for a while, because I was done lifting weights. Its too taxing and boring to just go to the gym everyday. So, I started changing my workout. Now for the last 5-6 months I’ve been doing a lot of kickboxing,” the actor shared. “In kickboxing, there’s a lot of boxing involved. So, I’ve got this 8 feet punching bag in the middle of my house. We also do a lot of kicking and stuff and its borderline martial arts,” he added.
