Biography:

Rima Kallingal was born on January 19, 1984 in Thrissur, Kerala, India. Before venturing into acting, she joined Miss Kerala beauty pageant in 2008 and came as first runner up.

The following year, she made her big screen debut with the Malayalam film Ritu. For her performance, she was nominated for the Asianet Award for Best Actress. She has since starred in other Malayalam features like Kerala Cafe and Best of Luck.

In 2011, she gained wider fame after being cast as Surya Prabha in City of God, for which she received nominations including the Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress in the Malayalam category.
