Hollywood actor Peter Facinelli had his career start in the mid-1990s. During his early years, he appeared in the movies Angela, Foxfire, Dancer, Texas Pop. 81, and Can’t Hardly Wait. On television, he got his first starring role as Donovan “Van” Ray in the short-lived series Fastlane. Following this, he became known for his role as Jimmy in Six Feet Under. He next played Gregory Malina in the acclaimed series Damages.

His biggest role on television was as Dr. Fitch “Coop” Cooper in Nurse Jackie, which aired on Showtime from 2009 to 2015. In the movies, he also became known for starring as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight films. Other films include Finding Amanda, Loosies, The Damned, Freezer, and Walter. His latest film role was 2017’s The Wilde Wedding. Additionally, he played Maxwell Lord in American Odyssey, Maxwell Lord in Supergirl, and currently plays Michael Plank in S.W.A.T. He will also appear in the upcoming thriller movie Running with the Devil.

He may be in his 40s but it’s apparent that the actor still dons a lean, toned, and ripped physique. Being an actor, it’s also normal for him to physically train for certain film roles. For his part as Dr. Cullen in the Twilight feature films, he actually has undergone physical training. One of the training he did along with other casts was the fight training. Speaking about it in an interview, he said:

“It was funny because it became almost like an in-house competition and everyone was always in the gym or working out. Sometimes we’d work out like three times a day. One time, I was in my apartment and I was going down to do my workout, and the elevator doors opened and Kellan Lutz was [in there] doing push-ups. I was like, ‘Okay, Kellan, you win! You win the competition.”
