Biography:

Nicholas Gonzalez was born on January 3, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Stanford University where he majored in English. He also studied for two years at Oxford University in England. In 1998, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. The following year, he appeared as Andy, a recurring role in Undressed. He next appeared in the TV movie My Little Assassin.

His first starring role on the small screen was as Alex Santiago in Resurrection Blvd. He next appeared as D.J. in The O.C. After years of guest appearances, he joined the main cast of Mental as Dr. Arturo Suarez. At the same time, he appeared as Detective Rodriguez in Melrose Place. Since 2017, he stars as Dr. Neal Melendez in The Good Doctor. As a film actor, he’s had roles in Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and The Purge: Anarchy.
