Biography:

Mithra Kurian was born on May 15, 1985 in Perumbavoor, Kerala, India. Her acting career started with her debut in the 2004 Malayalam film Vismayathumbathu where she played a supporting role.

The following year, she landed another supporting role in the movie Mayookham. After taking a hiatus for three years to focus on her studies, she made a comeback with the 2008 Tamil feature Sadhu Miranda.

In 2010, she gained wider fame after receiving acclaim for her role as Sethulakshmi in Bodyguard. She was then nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the Tamil film Kaavalan.
