Biography:

Alexandra Maria Lara was born on November 12, 1978 in Bucharest, Romania. At age 16, she has already playing lead roles in several television shows.

In 2004, she rose to international fame for her role as Adolf Hitler’s secretary Traudl Junge in Der Untergang (The Downfall). The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.

The following year, director Francis Ford Copolla offered her a role in his film Youth Without Youth. She has since starred in such movies as Control, The Dust of Time, The Reader, Imagine and Rush.
