Hollywood star Mindy Kaling has established her career, especially on television. She made her cinematic debut in the comedy film The 40 Year Old Virgin. It was also during this period that she became widely known for her role as Kelly Kapoor on The Office. She started as a recurring character on the show. She was later promoted to being part of the main cast. While on the show, she had notable roles in many films. This includes License to Wed, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, and No Strings Attached. She returned to television with her lead role on the comedy series The Mindy Project. She has been starring on the said show since 2012. She will star in the upcoming films A Wrinkle in Time and Ocean’s Eight.

The 38-year-old actress makes an effort to be healthy by eating clean and working out. Since her stint on The Office, it can be notable that Mindy has since lost a significant amount of weight. This is something she credits from her healthier eating habits and by keeping herself physically active with her exercises. In an interview, the comedian became candid with her workout routine:

“When I’m not in production, I go for jogs five to six days a week. There’s a history of heart attacks on my father’s side of the family, so I do think about cardiovascular health. I’m an avid slow jogger. I always hesitate to go on runs with my friends because my pace is so slow. I’m talking about an 11-minute mile over an hour and a half.” In an interview with Conan O’Brian, she also talked about her running regimen, to which she jokingly said: “I have to pretend, when I run, that I’m avenging the murder of my husband. I have to have these elaborate fantasies to motivate myself.”
