Michael Trevino was born on January 25, 1985 in Montebello, California, USA. He made his first television appearance in an episode of the series Summerland. He has since appeared in other shows such as Charmed, Without a Trace, Cold Case, CSI: Miami and many others.

He then starred in the made-for-television films Cow Belles as Jackson Meade and Love Finds a Home as Joshua Coil. In 2011, he played the role of Tad in the film The Factory.

He also became known for some of her notable roles on television such as the part of Brent in The Riches and Tyler Lockwood in The Vampire Diaries.
