Melissa Fumero Diet Plan

Melissa Fumero

Hollywood star Melissa Fumero got her start in the 2000s. She made her debut as Adriana Cramer in the soap opera One Life to Live. At the same time, she has also guest-starred in other shows, including The Mentalist and Royal Pains. She also appeared as Zoe in six episodes of Gossip Girl. Her first movie was in the 2007 film Descent where she was an extra. Her first credited role was in the 2009 movie I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.

After guest-starring in such shows as CSI: NY and Men at Work, she got her break after getting the part of Amy Santiago in the Fox sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She started starring on the show in 2013 and continues to do so until present. At the same time, she had also starred in the independent films The House That Jack Built and DriverX, as well as appeared as herself in some reality shows.

The 36-year-old actress stays in shape by eating clean. According to her, it’s easy to follow a clean diet because it’s through this that she feels great. So, what’s her diet plan like on a typical day? In an interview, she spilled the beans. She said: “Breakfast would be Greek yogurt with berries and homemade granola. Lunch is a bed of brown rice topped with a fried egg and avocado drizzled with basil infused olive oil. Dinner is roast chicken (Ina Garten’s recipe is my favorite) surrounded by roasted sweet potatoes, carrots, and caramelized onions, and a big glass of some delicious bold red wine.”

She went on to say: “I feel my best when I’m eating clean, meaning little to no processed foods. Sugar is not my friend, and definitely makes me gain weight and feel sluggish. I do struggle with keeping my sugar intake down while we’re shooting Brooklyn Nine-Nine because of all the coffee I drink on set. We chose our battles, and I’ll choose coffee any day over the candy and other sugar latent options at our craft service table. And water. Lots of water.”
