It won her a Golden Globe for Best Actress. In the 1990s, she starred in the films Buffalo Girls, Shining Through, and RKO 281. Her acting in the film Crazy Alabama was also praised. In the 2000s, she starred in the film Cecil B. Demented, as well as made notable appearances on the small screen, including Nip/Tuck, Raising Hope, and Hawaii Five-0. In the 2010s, she starred in the movies Autómata and The Disaster Artist.
