American singer-actress Mandy Moore first captivated fans through her sweet singing when she was only 15. Singles such as “Candy” and “I Wanna Be with You” became highly popular among young listeners, making her a star. Her fame as a new singer led her to pursue an acting career, which she began in the Disney film The Princess Diaries in 2001. She soon landed her first starring role in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation of A Walk to Remember. Since then, she has had lead roles in mostly romantic comedies, most notably in Chasing Liberty, Because I Said So, and License to Wed, among others. In addition to these credits, she was also the lead in the movies American Dreamz in 2006. She is also a television performer best known for her recurring character in Red Band Society in 2014 and a voice actress. Throughout her singing career, she has released six albums, the latest of which was Amanda Leigh in 2009.

Though Mandy has decided to take it slow recently with work, she’s still very prominent among her fans who have followed her since she was just a teenage pop singer to her romantic drama-comedies period. Her decision to take a break from mainstream acting was probably made to focus on her marriage with fellow musician and singer Ryan Adams in 2009 (they’ve filed for divorced last year though). Aside from being multi-talented, Mandy is also known for being the girl-next-door type and standing at 5’10, for being prominently tall, too. Fans could remember the singer-actress being skinny during her teens, but her body has developed as she was growing up.

Unlike other female stars, Mandy does not strive to attain a very slim figure. She may not be super thin but she’s confident of her figure and focuses on keeping herself healthy rather than focusing on vanity. It was also noted that Mandy practiced the 5-factor fitness, a simple dietary regimen of 3 meals and 2 snacks daily, mainly consisting of low-fat protein, fiber, healthy carbs and fats, and a sugar-free drink in every meal. The diet does not seem to be a chore as Mandy actually likes to eat clean and healthy, plus this diet also allows her to have cheat days.
