In the 2010s, she appeared in an episode of Late Show with David Letterman, as well as played Ana Vargas in the NBC series Smash.

In 2014, she starred in the pilot How I Met Your Dad. During this period, Rodriguez also had performances in the films The Virginity Hit, Iceland, Shadow of Fear, and Wishin’ and Hopin’. Her latest film role was in 2016’s Bakery in Brooklyn. She continued her career on TV with guest roles in Married, Chasing Life, Inside Amy Schumer, The Mysteries of Laura, and Younger.

The actress became further known for starring as Summer Henderson in NBC’s Trial & Error and as Maxine Griffin in ABC’s Quantico. Her latest role was as Ms. Crumble/The Witch in the Netflix series Daybreak. In addition, she also garnered acclaim for her performance of Wednesday Addams in the Broadway adaptation of The Addams Family. For her work here, she won the Favorite Breakthrough Performance (Female) at the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards. She even played Ilse in Broadway’s Spring Awakening.

Krysta Rodriguez was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 at age 30. As part of her treatment, the performer had to do a diet overhaul to get healthier. Getting better also means lifestyle changes so she had to cut back on unhealthy food.

“But because of that, I’ve had to make some changes to my diet,” said the actress. “No sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no soy, no beans.” Several years later and the actress has since recovered. She’s even back to working with her latest starring gig in Netflix’s Daybreak.
