Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor had her first movie role in 1991 with Prem Qaidi. She next starred in the movies Police Officer, Sapne Sajan Ke, and Jigar, among others. Her role in 1996’s Raja Hindustani cemented her fame. She also won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress her work here. Her next performance in Dil To Pagal Hai won her the National Film Award and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. She went on to star in the box office hits Hero No.1, Biwi No.1 and Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge. In the 2000s, she starred in the films Fiza, Zubeidaa and Shakti: The Power. After a long hiatus from acting, she returned to the big screen starring in 2012’s Dangerous Ishqq.

The 43-year-old, mother of two actress remains slender and fit thanks to her healthy lifestyle. Being in her 40s, she knows how crucial it is to be careful of her eating habits. For this reason, she makes it a point to eat a balanced diet containing mostly of nutritious foods. She indulges in her cravings every now and then, but she makes sure she eats them in moderation. Portion control is also important to her. Her first basic rule is to drink lots of water. Hydration for her is key to achieve a healthy body.

Given this, she drinks a glass of warm lime water first thing in the morning. For breakfast, she mostly has cereals such as oatmeal and egg whites. Protein and fiber are important for her in the morning. It keeps her energized throughout the day. For snacks, she has fruits, vegetables, and mixed salad. For lunch, she has dal, sabzi, chappati, and brown rice. For her last meal of the day, she keeps it light by only having soup and vegetables. And that’s how she’s able to maintain her slim and toned figure.
