Biography:

Joe Keery was born on April 24, 1992 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, U.S. It was during his high school years that he started acting. Following his graduation, he attended DePaul University where he studied theater. Afterwards, he attended hundreds of auditions. During his initial years in show business, he acted in commercials. In 2015, he made his television debut in Sirens.

That same year, he also had his first movie in Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party. He also had guest appearances in Chicago Fire and Empire. He ultimately landed his breakout role as Steve Harrington in the Netflix series Stranger Things. He started playing the said role in 2016 and continues to do so. This year, he also starred in the film Molly’s Gam.
