Hollywood star Jessica Stroup had her career beginnings in the mid 2000s. Her debut was on the TV film Vampire Bats. During this period, she also guest starred on some shows such as Unfabulous, Girlfriends, Zoey 101, and Grey’s Anatomy. She had her first notable role as Cady Hansen on Reaper. It was, however, her role as Erin Silver on 90210 that earned her mainstream notice. After the show ended, she starred as Max Hardy on The Following. This year, she started starring as Joy Meachum on the Netflix series Iron Fist. In the movies, she has had notable roles in the films The Hills Have Eyes 2, Prom Night, Ted, and most recently Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

The 31-year-old actress takes care of herself by eating healthy. Though she has indulgences from time to time, she makes sure she only eats them in moderation. Most of the time, she finds herself opting for nutritious foods. She even selects healthy options for snacks. One of these is almond butter on top of Gala Apples. “It’s perfect for a healthy snack,” the actress says. She also loves crunchy veggies as snacks. She said she imagines them as fries.

With her on-the-go lifestyle, she relies on energy bars to keep her satiated and reinvigorated. Of these snacks, she said: “They kept me alive in Ethiopia.” She’s also into protein drinks, saying: “I am crazy for OptiCleanse GHI in the chai flavor. Just add water in your blender bottle. It’s delicious and super healthy.” Of course, getting dehydrated is a must, so she tries to drink lots of water. In an interview, she said: “On set I have a lot of coffee…so I try to chug water before going for that next cup.” As for her meals, she loves quinoa. She said: “For meals, I’m big into Quinoa or rocket salad with a protein like shrimp of chicken added to it.”
