Jennifer Love Hewitt

It was in 1989 that Hollywood star Jennifer Love Hewitt got her career start with the show Kids Incorporated. In the ’90s, she starred in the shows Shaky Ground and The Byrds of Paradise. She then became further known for starring as Sarah Reeves Merrin in Party of Five. She reprised her role in the spin-off Time of Your Life. During this period, she also achieved mainstream fame for starring in the blockbuster hit I Know What You Did Last Summer. She reprised her role in the sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

She also starred in the romantic film Can’t Hardly Wait. In the 2000s, she starred in the movies The Tuxedo, If Only, Garfield: The Movie, and Tropic Thunder. From 2005 to 2010, she played the lead role of Melinda Gordon in the television series 2010 Ghost Whisperer. Afterward, she starred in the TV movie The Client List, which got her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. She went on to star in the television series The Client List, which was also based on the aforementioned TV movie from 2012 to 2013 as lead role Riley Parks. Afterward, she played Kate Callahan in Criminal Minds.

In an interview with People years before, film and TV star Jennifer Love Hewitt talked about her body struggles especially when people called her fat. She also admitted to being unhealthy, saying: “I was in a relationship; I was a homebody; I was working 15 or 16 hours a day. I got into cooking, so I was making mashed potatoes, risotto and pasta, and not working out because I was exhausted. Over time that takes its toll on your body.”

Eventually, she realized she needed to make some changes in her lifestyle. So, how did she start with working out? She revealed: “I went and hired a trainer. The first five workouts, because I had not worked out in probably a year, I got sick. A couple of times I stopped in the middle and burst into tears because I felt like I couldn’t do it. I was torn to shreds physically, mentally and emotionally. Then there was a point three weeks in where I went, “Wow, my clothes feel different!” Now I do the elliptical for about 50 minutes a day and then I do weights for another 20 minutes. I’m also starting to do a little bit of Pilates.”
