Hamish Linklater is an American actor. In 2000, he debuted as David Turner in the film Groove. That same year, he made his first television role as Dr. Bruce Cherry in the medical drama series Gideon’s Crossing. Afterward, he portrayed Richard Roth in the TV movie Live from Baghdad. He later became known for playing Pvt. Stan Silver in American Dreams and Carl Axelrod in 5ive Days to Midnight. He went on to play the role of Leonard in the film Fantastic Four. His major breakthrough was as Matthew Kimble in the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine. In the 2010s, he played Dave Cooper in The Big C, Jerry Dantana in The Newsroom, Andrew Keanelly in The Crazy Ones, and Larue Dollard in Fargo. He currently stars as Clark Debussy in the FX series Legion. He’s also starred as Porter Collins in the 2015 movie The Big Short.
