Jane Adams is an American actress whose career started in the mid-1980s. During her early years, she appeared in some films and TV shows, such as Family Ties and ABC Afterschool Special. During the ’90s, she played recurring role Karen Lukens on Relativity, followed by her role as Sara Scott on Liberty! She later became known for her part as Dr. Mel Karnofsky on Frasier. She went on to star as Reeva Eidenberg on the short-lived series Citizen Baines. As a film actress, she first gained notice for her performance in 1998’s Happiness. In the 2000s, she had notable works in the movies Songcatcher, Wonder Boys, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and The Brave One, among others. From 2009 to 2011, she starred as Tanya Skagle on HBO’s Hung. For her role here, she got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her latest role is as Maggie Murphy on Amazon’s Sneaky Pete.
