Biography:

Iain De Caestecker was born on 29 December 1987 in Glasgow, Scotland. He attended Langside College where he studied drama. Initially, his acting career started when he was young. He officially made his television debut in 2000 as Adam Barlow in the British series Coronation Street. He also appeared in the shows Monarch of the Glen and Rockface. It was also during in 2000 that he made his film debut in The Little Vampire.

His next movie was in 2003’s 16 Years of Alcohol. After several years of taking a hiatus, he returned in 2009 with guest roles on television. He next appeared as Darren in four episodes of Lip Service. He went on to star in the miniseries The Fades, Young James Herriot, and The Secret of Crickley Hall. He became further known among an international audience courtesy of his role as Agent Leo Fitz in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
