It was in 1973 that acclaimed actress Helen Hunt started her acting career with a TV movie called Pioneer Woman. Her first starring role on the small screen was in The Swiss Family Robinson. She later had notable roles on the shows It Takes Two and St. Elsewhere. From 1992 to 1999, she gained prominence for starring in the sitcom Jamie Stemple Buchman. This earned her acclaim as well. She also rose to fame for her lead role in the box office hit Twister.

Her role in the film As Good as It Gets then earned her a Best Actress Award at the Academy Awards. She also became known for starring in the movies What Women Want, Cast Away, Empire Falls, and Bobby. In 2012, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars for her role in The Sessions. Afterward, she starred in the filmsDecoding Annie Parker, Ride, and I Love You, Daddy. She’s also ventured into directing, mostly on television shows. Her directorial debut on film was in 2007’s Then She Found Me. This year, she will star in the film The Miracle Season.

The veteran actress takes care of herself by maintaining healthy habits. This includes exercising and eating well. When asked about how she stays in shape despite her age, she said: “I do eat well. I try to love my body. That is what I tell my daughter. I say, ‘Love every bite of food. Love your body. We’re all going to be dead soon.’ Actually I don’t say that last thing to her.”

She doesn’t really stick to any specific diet plan or go through strict dieting. She’s at her age when she appreciates her body for what it is, but she also makes sure that she nourishes it through healthy eating. In another interview, she was noted for saying: “I gave up on punishing exercise and dieting forever.”
