Mexican star Eiza González is now a promising name in Hollywood. She started her career on Mexican television in the late 2000s. During this period, she starred on the telenovelas Lola, érase una vez, Sueña Conmigo, and Amores verdaderos. Afterwards, she decided to move to Hollywood to expand her career. She made her American debut as Santanico Pandemonium on the TV series From Dusk till Dawn: The Series. At the same time, she had her first role in an American film in Jem and the Holograms. More recently, she gained further recognition for starring as Darling in the film Baby Driver. She will star in the upcoming movie Alita: Battle Angel.
It’s obvious that the 27-year-old actress has a rocking physique. And while she certainly has great genes, the Mexican actress admitted she worked hard to achieve her fit body, specifically for her role in Baby Driver where she plays a machine-gun carrying femme fatale. On the other hand, she also revealed that she wasn’t always healthy. She said that she was actually chubby during her teens. Of course, her work in the acting world has since motivated her to maintain a healthy weight.
She got candid in an interview, saying: “I was chubby for a lot of my teen years, and people were really harsh on me. They would say, ‘Oh, she’s fat.’ I became self-conscious. That’s when I learned you can’t just eat tacos every day.” In another interview, she also admitted to having an eating disorder before. She said:
“Every process between the ages of 15 and 20 was very hard for me because I used to eat compulsively. It took me a long time to decipher that it was all happening because I was depressed after my dad died. And it was very hard for me but I changed my eating habits and began eating healthier and I began taking care of myself in all areas.”
