Dan Futterman is an American actor. He’s also a screenwriter. He debuted as an actor in 1991 with the TV movie Daughters of Privilege. He later had roles in the films Passed Away and Big Girls Don’t Cry… They Get Even. He then played the role of Alan on the soap opera Another World. In 1996, he gained notice for his role as Val Goldman in the movie The Birdcage. He next had performances in the films Breathing Room, Shooting Fish, and many others. He later became further known for his role as Vincent Gray on the CBS series Judging Amy. In the 2000s, he starred in the films Urbania and Enough. He went on to pursue a screenwriting career, writing the 2005 film Capote. He got an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. He’s since worked as a writer for the shows In Treatment and Gracepoint. He also wrote the 2014 film Foxcatcher.
