Hollywood star Connie Britton debuted in the 1995 film The Brothers McMullen. At the same time, she also had her first TV appearance on the sitcom Ellen. She later landed her first starring role on television as Nikki Faber on Spin City. In the 2000s, she first became known for her roles on the television shows The Fugitive, The Fighting Fitzgeralds, The West Wing, and Lost at Home. Following this, she played recurring character Diane Huxley on 24. She also starred as Tami Taylor on the NBC series Friday Night Lights. After the show ended in 2011, she became further known for starring as Vivien Harmon on American Horror Story: Murder House. Subsequently, she starred as Rayna Jaymes on the ABC series Nashville from 2012 to 2018. She later starred as Abby Clark on the Fox series 9-1-1. She will reprise her role as Vivien Harmon in the upcoming American Horror Story: Apocalypse. As a film actress, she’s had roles in the movies A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Fitzgerald Family Christmas, The To Do List, and American Ultra in the 2010s.

The 51-year-old actress stays in shape by sticking to healthy eating habits. In an interview with People, she said: “Eating healthy is a big part of my life because it’s something I can really have control over and it doesn’t take up a lot of my time.” She continued: “And that’s something that I know impacts my heart health, which is as important to me as how I’m looking on the outside.”

While she admits to being a foodie, the actress-singer knows how to balance her food consumption. One of her go-to snacks is a green smoothie while her ultimate breakfast meal is a bowl of oatmeal with a mix of coconut oil, almond milk, and maple syrup. She also confesses to indulging her cravings. “I love pasta, and if I was really, really going to cheat and be really bad and didn’t care about calories, I go for chocolate cake. Sugar is something that I really try to stay away from, though,” she said.
