Biography:

Chris Evans was born on June 13, 1981 in Boston, Massachusetts. He made his television debut in the television series Opposite Sex in 2000. The following year he made his film debut in Not Another Teen Movie.

He then landed leading roles in such films as Perfect Score and Cellular. In 2005, he was cast as the Human Torch in the comic book adaptation Fantastic Four. He reprised his role in the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

He gained further prominence when he was chosen to play Marvel Comics character Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger.
