Actress Cassie Steele had her career beginnings when she debuted on the Canadian series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She played the regular role of Manny Santos starting 2001 until its finale in 2010. Marking her first starring role on television, this helped her establish a solid career as an actress. Simultaneously, she starred in the TV film Full-Court Miracle. She also had recurring roles as Lucy Ramirez-Montoya in The Best Years and Blu in Instant Star. She went on to reprise her role as Manny Santos in the TV movies Degrassi Goes Hollywood and Degrassi Takes Manhattan.

In 2010, she starred in the made-for-television film My Babysitter’s a Vampire. She next landed the role of Abby Vargas in the short-lived Canadian show The L.A. Complex, which aired in 2012. Her next roles were in the 2014 TV films Sorority Surrogate and The Dorm. She later played recurring character Tammy Gueterman in the animated sitcom Rick and Morty. Subsequently, she starred in the TV movies Zombie Shark, Twist of Fate, and Mississippi River Sharks. In 2018, she starred in the independent film Paint it Red.

The 29-year-old actress stays in shape by following an active lifestyle. Currently, she’s into yoga, specifically hot yoga. “I go to yoga, I really love hot yoga, it’s really addictive. I love to sweat it out, it makes me feel great, and the heat keeps your muscles open.”

She also shared how she previously practiced kickboxing and taekwondo. “I used to do kickboxing and tae kwon do. I like rock climbing, and just walking. If I lift weights, I’ll look huge,” the Canadian star added. As for her diet, she said she doesn’t follow any. As a matter of fact, she doesn’t like dieting because it makes her unhappy to worry about what she eats. She’s since decided she’s better off happy and stress-free.
