Timothy Hutton is an American actor. In 1980, he made his film debut as Conrad Jarrett in the drama film Ordinary People. His performance was acclaimed that he won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. He next had starring roles in the films Taps, Daniel, Iceman, and The Falcon and the Snowman. In the ’90s, he starred in the movies The Dark Half, Beautiful Girls, and The General’s Daughter, to name a few.

In the following decade, he portrayed anthropologist Paul Gebhard in the film Kinsey. He then became further known on TV for starring as Archie Goodwin in A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Conrad Cain in Kidnapped, and Nathan Ford in Leverage. In 2015, he starred as Russ Skokie in American Crime, which got him a Primetime Emmy nomination. He next starred as Hugh Crain in The Haunting of Hill House. Hutton went on to star as Leon Bechley in the short-lived show Almost Family.
