Biography:

Bhumi Pednekar was born on 18 July 1989 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. In 2015, she made her acting debut, appearing in the Hindi film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Her debut proved strong, earning her mainstream recognition. This also garnered her Best Female Debut awards. She next appeared in the web series Man’s World.

She then starred in the 2017 films Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. The following year, she starred in a segment of the anthology film Lust Stories. More recently, she had performances in such feature films as Sonchiriya, Saand Ki Aankh, Bala, and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Also, her role in the movie Shubh Mangal Saavdhan got her a Filmfare nomination for Best Actress.
