Biography:

Charlie Hunnam was born on April 10, 1980 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England. He studied at the Cumbria College of Art and Design where he graduated with a degree in the theory and history of film.

In 1998, at the age of 18, he made his first television appearance in an episode of the series Byker Grove. He has since appeared in other shows like Queer as Folk, Microsoap, Young Americans, and Undeclared.

He gained wider recognition among television viewers after being cast as Jackson “Jax” Teller in the series Sons of Anarchy. In film, he is best known for his role as Raleigh Becket in Pacific Rim.
