Biography:

Zach Roerig was born on February 22, 1985 in Montpelier, Ohio, U.S.. He got his training from the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. He later joined the International Model and Talent Association. In 2004, he made his television debut in an episode of Law & Order. He then landed the part of Casey Hughes on the soap opera As the World Turns. This was his first significant acting gig.

In 2007, he made his film debut in Tie a Yellow Ribbon. He next appeared in the movie Assassination of a High School President. At the same time he played Hunter Atwood on the soap opera One Life to Live. After playing a recurring role on Friday Night Lights as Cash, he got his break after getting the role of Matt Donovan on The Vampire Diaries. He’s also recently starred in the horror movie Rings as Carter.
