Hollywood actress Winona Ryder had her beginnings in the 1980s. During this period, she had roles in the films Lucas and Square Dance. She first gained notice for starring in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice and playing Veronica Sawyer in Heathers. She next portrayed Myra Gale Lewis in Great Balls of Fire!. In the ’90s, she established her name as one of the leading actresses in Hollywood. This is courtesy of her starring roles in Edward Scissorhands, Mermaids, Dracula, and Reality Bites. She also starred in Martin Scorsese’s The Age of Innocence, which earned her her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Her portrayal of Josephine “Jo” March in Little Women got her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She later starred in Alien Resurrection and Girl, Interrupted. She now stars as Joyce Byers on Stranger Things.

The 46-year-old actress admits to being more carefree when it comes to her fitness and health. She mentioned that because she’s always been petite, she doesn’t really worry about her weight. She said: “I haven’t really had to think about it very much because I was always lucky enough to be the waify sort of girl so I didn’t have to worry about my weight.” But now that she’s in her late 40s, she starts to think differently. Of course, the body begins to change with age. And it becomes harder to lose weight when you’re in your 40s. The actress knows this, that’s why she’s making changes in her lifestyle.

She was noted for saying: “I’m still small, but in the last couple of years I’ve realized that it’s probably time to start working a little bit more on my body, which is something I could put off when I was younger. So I’ve started to exercise and I do try to eat relatively well, although I must confess that it doesn’t always happen.”
