Tamsin Egerton was born on 26 November 1988 in Hampshire, United Kingdom. She was only six when she began acting at a local youth theatre. She made her professional debut on the screen in 2001 with the miniseries The Mists of Avalon. She next portrayed Betsy Balcombe in the miniseries Napoléon. Following this, she had roles in the TV movies Hans Christian Andersen: My Life as a Fairytale and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking.
In 2005, she made her film debut in Keeping Mum. She later became known for starring as Chelsea Parker in the British film St Trinian’s. She reprised her role in the sequel St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold. In the 2010s, she portrayed Guinevere in the series Camelot. She went on to have roles in the movies Chalet Girl, The Look of Love, Grand Piano, Queen and Country, and many others.
