English actress Suranne Jones had her career beginnings in 1997, debuting in the TV series Coronation Street. She next appeared in an episode of City Central and The Grand. In the 2000s, she portrayed Karen McDonald in the British soap opera Coronation Street. Afterward, she starred in the TV movie Celebrate “Oliver!”. Her next role was as Beth in the crime drama series Vincent. In 2006, she starred as Linda Nelson in the limited drama Strictly Confidential.
She later starred in the TV film Dead Clever: The Life and Crimes of Julie Bottomley. After the birth of her son, the actress needed to get back into shape to play the lead in Doctor Foster. To prepare for this, she didn’t go jogging or swimming. Instead, she did planking while on the set of the show. She said she performed core exercises for 5 minutes. “I always do a plank squad [a group who do the exercise to raise money] so we were planking for charity… so I was exercising on set,” said the actress .
