Sam Robards is an American actor. He started his career in the 1980s, debuting in the 1982 film Tempest. On the small screen, his first starring role was as Kevin Keegan in TV 101. In 1998, he starred as Sheriff Gary Hammon in the show Maximum Bob. The following decade, the actor had performances in such films as A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Surviving Eden, and Awake, among others. From 2004 to 2005, he became known for playing Greg Brock in The West Wing. Between 2007 and 2012, he also played Howie ‘The Captain’ Archibald in Gossip Girl. Other TV roles include Tim Feeny in Treme and Kyle Masterson in Twisted.
