It was in 2008 that Scottish star Rose Leslie started acting professionally. She debuted on the British program Banged Up Abroad. She next appeared on the made-for-television film New Town. Her first notable role on television was as Gwen Dawson on the popular British series Downton Abbey. She later had roles on the shows Case Histories and Vera. In 2012, she made her big screen debut in the film Now Is Good. She gained mainstream recognition when she played Ygritte on HBO’s Game of Thrones. She starred on the show from 2012 to 2014.

Following this, she had roles on the television shows Blandings, Utopia, The Great Fire, and Luther. She also performed in the Hollywood movies The Last Witch Hunter, Honeymoon, The Last Dance, and Morgan. She later voiced Red Riding Hood on the animated TV movie Revolting Rhymes. More recently, she landed the role of Maia Rindell on the Hollywood series The Good Fight, which is the spin-off of the popular show The Good Wife. She started playing the part in 2017 and continues to do so until present. She’s also a prolific theater actress.

The 31-year-old actress stays in shape by following an active lifestyle. Seeing her as the arrow-wielding wildling on Game of Thrones, it’s obvious that the actress has got the physique of a strong woman despite her slim figure. She’s got the strength and energy and she gets it by having a fitness regimen that mainly consists of outdoor activities. According to her, she enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and tennis. She also loves archery, which is probably why she got the role of Ygritte in the first place and she looked like a natural. On the other hand, while most people love to run as their means of cardio, the actress said she hates running because it makes her look “like a complete weirdo.”
