Biography:

Rhatha Phongam was born on May 19, 1983 in Bangkok, Thailand. She made her feature film debut with her role as Boonlueang in the film Jan Dara the Beginning, based on a novel by Pramool Unhathoop, The Story of Jan Dara.

She then reprised her role in the film’s sequel, Jan Dara: The Finale. In 2013, she gained international recognition after being cast as Mai in the Danish-French crime film Only God Forgives.

The film received a Palme d’Or nomination at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. She then went on to star in other local films such as Tom Yum Goong 2.
