Hollywood star Paul Bettany debuted in 1994, appearing in an episode of the British show Wycliffe. He later portrayed Prince William of Orange on the made-for-television film Sharpe’s Waterloo. In 1997, he made his movie debut in Bent. He got his break in the 2000s, playing Geoffrey Chaucer in the Hollywood film A Knight’s Tale. He also gained recognition for his role as Charles Herman in the biographical film A Beautiful Mind. He later starred in the films Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Reckoning, Dogville, Wimbledon, and The Da Vinci Code.

In 2008, he was the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man. He later portrayed Lord Melbourne in The Young Victoria and Charles Darwin in Creation. In the 2010s, he starred in the films Legion, The Tourist, Priest, Blood, Transcendence, and Mortdecai. He also reprised the role of J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3, as well as in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He later played Vision in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Also this year, he starred as Dryden Vos in Solo: A Star Wars Story. In addition, he portrayed Ted Kaczynski on the miniseries Manhunt: Unabomber.

The actor’s latest roles had him work harder to improve his physique. For his role in Legion, he notably got ripped, which he achieved from vigorous training and clean diet plan. As for his diet, he reduced his food consumption to small lean meals. This included chicken and steamed vegetables every four hours. Prior to this, he admitted he was more of a “beer and bread man” so changing his diet plan was huge for him. For his role as Vision in The Avengers films, he also was cautious of his food intake. He jokingly said: “I look at a burger and I gain ten pounds. No cheat days for old Bettany.”
