Matthew Lewis Workout Routine

English actor Matthew Lewis got his acting start in the 1990s, making his debut in the TV movie Some Kind of Life. He next appeared in the shows Dalziel and Pascoe and Heartbeat. In the 2000s, he got his break after landing the role of Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films. He started starring in the first Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001, reprising his role until the final film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2011. Following this, he played Jamie Bradley in the British drama series The Syndicate. He next starred as Corporal Gordon “Towerblock” House in Bluestone 42. More recently, he had roles in the films Me Before You and Terminal. He also appeared in the series Girlfriends recently.

Matthew Lewis’ transformation is one of the best ones in Hollywood. Harry Potter fans remember him as a chubby kid but he has since changed himself into a masculine guy. How did this all happen? In an interview, he revealed that he only got started working out in the recent years. “I’ve only sort of come into this fitness world in the last couple of years, and I was training for a film last year but we didn’t have much time to prepare, so we just did as much as we could. I managed to get down to about 9.4% body-fat, I was pretty chuffed with that,” he said.

Surprisingly, the actor hates running and other cardio workouts. He said: “I really do hate jogging. I did a couple of half marathons but it’s not for me, and nor is cardio in general. I did do some trail runs through the mountains in South Africa though, and the vistas were some of the most spectacular things I’ve ever seen – it beat road-running up the A65 in Leeds, I can tell you that.”
