Biography:

Marton Csokas was born on 30 June 1966 in Invercargill, New Zealand. In 1990, he made his television debut in the New Zealand show Shark in the Park. His first notable role was as Leonard Rossi-Dodds in the soap opera Shortland Street. He became further known when he played Borias in Xena: Warrior Princess. Meanwhile, he made his film debut in Jack Brown Genius. It was followed by the movies Broken English and Hurrah.

His career flourished in the 2000s as he pursued acting in Hollywood. He first landed the role of Lord Celeborn in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, which he reprised in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. He later had supporting roles in XXX, Kangaroo Jack, Æon Flux, The Bourne Supremacy, and Kingdom of Heaven. In the 2010s, he starred in the features Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and The Equalizer. He also played Dr. Ashley Kafka in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
