It was in 1983 that actress Lisa Bonet for her start in the show business. She made her debut in an episode of St. Elsewhere. The following year, she started playing the role of Denise Huxtable in the sitcom The Cosby Show, which also became her breakout role. From 1984 until its finale in 1991, Bonet played the said character in the show. This, of course, earned her mainstream recognition. Following this, she starred in the films Final Combination, Bank Robber, and Enemy of the State.

In the 2000s, she starred in the movies High Fidelity, Biker Boyz, and Whitepaddy. She later played Maya Daniels in the series Life on Mars. Continuing her acting career in the 2010s, she starred in the 2013 movie Road to Paloma. From 2014 to 2015, she played Sky Van Der Veen in the show The Red Road. Her latest work was as a recurring character in the Showtime series Ray Donovan.

Aside from making sure that she eats well, the former teen star takes care of her body by sticking to an active lifestyle. She loves dancing and considers it a great form of cardio. Apart from her dancing regimen, she also practices other activities. As a matter of fact, Bonet was also active even when she was younger. In an interview, she shared her workout routine:

“My favorite form of fitness is dance. I take an African dance class that I live for. I just walked in one day, and I have been doing it pretty regularly for seven years now. I also do Pilates twice a week, yoga once a week, and I go to the gym twice a week. I was a gymnast when I was very young. I ran track and field and cross-country when I was in school. I probably would have been an athlete if I hadn’t become an artist.”
