Actor Josh Bowman has been acting since 2007 when he debuted in the British sitcom Genie in the House. His next role was in the movie Myths. Released in 2009, this became his first movie appearance. That same year, he also starred in an unsold pilot. He later gained notice for his recurring role as Scott James in the BBC One medical drama Holby City. He played the said part from 2009 to 2010.

At the beginning of the 2010s, he had performances in the films 13Hrs, Prowl, Exteriors, and Love’s Kitchen. He then pursued a career in Hollywood, debuting as Max in the TV series Make It or Break It. He came to mainstream prominence after landing the role of Daniel Grayson in the ABC series Revenge. He starred on the show from 2011 to 2015. He also received a Teen Choice nomination for his role here.

Simultaneously, he had performances in the movies So Undercover and The Last Keepers. After Revenge, he starred in the independent film Level Up. Next, he starred as John Stevenson / Jack the Ripper in the short-lived ABC series Time After Time. More recently, he appeared in an episode of Doctor Who and portrayed Jack Parsons in an episode of Lore. His latest work was in the Lifetime movie Escaping the Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story.

The former Revenge actor lives an active life, which he considers his primary source of workout. In fact, prior to becoming an actor, Bowman was a professional rugby player who played for Saracens F.C. He quit after suffering from injuries, which then got him into acting.

While he doesn’t play sports as much as he did before, he continues to stay in shape by partaking in outdoor activities. As for his workout routine, he said he doesn’t have a specific one. “My workout regimen at the moment is nonexistent. I wake up in the morning and brush my teeth. My toothbrush and deodorant are my only dumbbells. That’s about it,” said the actor.
