Jessie Usher

Jessie Usher first appeared guest-starring in an episode of Without a Trace in 2005. Subsequently, he landed one-episode appearances in some shows, included Hannah Montana, Lincoln Heights, Numbers, and The Mentalist. He also made a notable guest role in Criminal Minds. In 2010, he starred in the made-for-TV film Summer Camp, as well as guest-starred in G.I. Joe: Renegades.

That same year, he ultimately landed his first feature film role in Beautiful Boy. He next became known for starring as Lyle in the TV film Level Up, as well as in the TV series of also the same name. He next had performances in the movies Inappropriate Comedy and When the Game Stands Tall. Usher became further recognized for starring as Cam Calloway in the Starz sitcom Survivor’s Remorse, which he starred in between 2014 and 2017.

He simultaneously starred as Dylan Hiller in Independence Day: Resurgence and Evan Meyers in Almost Christmas. In 2018, he starred in the independent films Ride and Stronghold. He went on to star as John ‘JJ’ Shaft Jr. in the action-drama film Shaft. Usher also came to wider prominence for starring as A-Train in Prime Video’s original series The Boys. This year, he starred in the features The Banker and Dangerous Lies.

For his starring role in the already concluded series Survivor’s Remorse, Jessie Usher changed his diet plan as he trained his body to bulk up. “I was breaking it down to seven meals a day. I would wake up and have a pretty good breakfast; it would be like three whole eggs, and toast, something hearty to hold some weight on,” said the actor. “And then in between each meal I would either have a protein shake or a protein bar. The main requirement was 30 grams of protein per meal, seven times a day.”
