Jessica Harper is an American actress. She has been acting since the 1970s, debuting in the 1974 film Phantom of the Paradise. She later had a role in the movie Inserts. Harper gained prominence for her lead role in the 1977 cult classic Suspiria. In the 1980s, she had notable performances in the films Stardust Memories, Shock Treatment, and The Blue Iguana. From 1988 to 1990, she became known for starring as Phoebe Bass in It’s Garry Shandling’s Show. The following decade, she played remarkable roles in the films Safe and Boys. In 2002, she had a supporting role in the movie Minority Report. She recently played Anke Meier in the 2018 remake of Suspiria.
